Last Thursday, November 14, the Haarlem-Mutare twinning was present at the Sustainable Teachers Dinner in the Coornhert Lyceum in Haarlem. We presented our teaching methods with an emphasis on our Games for Goals game Aqua Heroes. It was a well-attended evening with 50 teachers and a number of sustainable entrepreneurs. This was the fifth and final edition in a series of dinners, organized by the Technotrend Foundation on behalf of the Municipality of Haarlem.
The dinner was all about inspiration, knowledge sharing and collaboration around sustainability in education. It was also the start of the Sustainable Teachers Network Haarlem, a community of teachers.
From now on, this network will be supported by the teachers themselves, and they will work together on structural sustainability in education. The next network meeting is scheduled for 30 January. With this, this network is taking an important step towards a green future in education.
